On permanence of writing
I often revisit and improve much of what I write.
Personal writing
When revisiting my own writing, I focus mainly on improving structure and style, while keeping the core message intact.
I believe that leaving the content largely unedited can be help both readers and myself see how my views evolve over time.
Book notes
Reviewing my book notes months after writing them is particularly valuable. The time gap helps me:
- break free from emulating the author’s writing style and tone
- clear away unnecessary details, or add more context where needed
- focus on the core of each message I want to remember
